En Route pour le Marché

Haiti’s madan sara, travelling produce traders, carry goods from rural growers to larger markets. Many make the journey on foot or transport their loads by donkey or mule. Richard Cadet’s gathering seems to echo that wider world of journeys and exchange. The sense of company gives the movement its rhythm, letting the journey hold our attention as fully as arrival might.
